4.5 Day Certification Program

This week-long certification class seeks to ensure supervisors are conducting effective and constitutional investigations. The training is valuable not only for those assigned to Internal Affairs, but for all supervisors. We welcome supervisors from police, EMS, fire, corrections and municipal human resource professionals. We will review all aspects of effective investigations, including proper legal and operational standards. We will also focus on hot topic issues, such as technology abuse, misuse of social media, sexual harassment, use of force, and officer-involved shootings. Once supervisors have completed this course, they will have been shown a variety of investigation-related policies and procedures, which will help them navigate the murky waters of labor law.
